Linking from PubMed to Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Holdings
Listed below are steps taken to link to potential full-text holdings of Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Medical Library from PubMed while onsite and/or through VPN.
Step 1.
Access PubMed using the icon listed in the “Quick Links” on the left-hand side of the Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Medical Library website - https://ascensionin5.tdnetdiscover.com . This link to PubMed provides the link resolver to Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis’ subscription-based/open source resources.
Step 2.
Conduct your search in PubMed
Step 3.
From the result list, select your desired article(s).
Step. 4.
Select the “Ascension” icon on the right-hand side of the screen.
Step 5.
If Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis has full-text access, users will be linked directly to the full-text article and/or a link to the full-text of the article - i.e. as below in ClinicalKey.
If full-text is not available, users will be notified i.e. the screenshot below. Select the “Request this item” link to be routed to the Library Request Form.

Step 6.
Once directed to the Library Request Form, fill out the form (create a TDNet user account if prompted) and request the item. This will be routed to the Medical Library delegated email - stvincentlibraries@ascension.org - and will be filled promptly.
Step 7.
You may also search an indexed PubMed directly through the TDNet Discovery widget; full-text linking will work the very same way through this search widget as described above.
